For the first couple of days after the birth, your baby will pass MECONIUM. This is a sticky, greeny-black substance that has built up in your baby's intestines during your pregnancy and is made up of bile, mucus, cells from the bowel wall, secretions and amniotic fluid. While meconium may be difficult to wipe off that tiny bottom, its appearance is a good sign that your baby's bowels are working normally.

After a day or two, once feeding is established and the last of the meconium passes out, the stools will turn a browny-green and be loose and grainy in texture, before becoming more yellow.

Diaper Rash!!

Most of baby will face this problem because their skin is very soft. Normally it will occurs to infants until they reach 3 years. Diaper rash can be characterized by red and irritating looking skin on your baby’s diaper area.  The skin can also be a little puffy and warm with some kind of itchiness.

Babies skin are soft and delicate and can easily become inflamed.  Therefore, the most common causes of diaper rashes are wetness on your baby’s skin from urine or from laundry detergent used to wash your baby diapers.  Even if your baby is wearing a super absorbent diaper, that type of diaper doesn’t matter if you’re not frequently changing your baby.  Also, when your baby’s pee mixes with bacteria from its poop, it will create ammonia on your baby’s skin.  Therefore, ensure to frequently change your baby no matter the type of diaper your baby is wearing.

How to avoid Diaper Rash or Treat This Problem?

1. For diaper rash treatment, keep your baby’s bottom area clean and dry.  Do not apply any talcum to the sensitive skin area especially at the genital area. 
2. Clean the infected area with lukewarm water.  Use a soft towel and pat dry. 
3. Apply some diaper rash creams on your baby’s infected area. Insyallah, it will become normal within 3 days.

If it become worst, make sure you consult with your pediatrician if you have any questions regarding diaper rash treatment for your baby.
